ABOUT
Hello there!
My name is Rhea Pradeep. I am a visual storyteller and illustrator based out of Providence, Rhode Island. I like to say that I’m from a little of all the southern states in India. I graduated from Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology with a Bachelors in Design. I was introduced to sequential art through 2D animation and then found my passion for comics and graphic novels. I graduated in 2023 with my thesis project Orullaigal. (ideally would link to that page)
Ever since I learned how to read I have been obsessed with the world of storytelling. It has the power to take us on journeys to places that exist only in our imaginations. I believe there are stories in every little thing around us, and I am determined to share them. My work is grounded in my experiences and my home, yet explores these fictitious worlds. Stories bring us closer together as a community and strengthen bonds. I share my process with those who are trying to find a way to share their stories through teaching.
In my free time, I love reading, watching horror movies, traveling and spending time with my family. I can endlessly talk about dinosaurs, I’m terrifyingly interested in the ocean and space and can never say no to a cookie!
Currently, I am receiving my MFA in Illustration at the Rhode Island School of Design.
